ThankYou Vadodara

It's been almost 15 years now that I am doing Job here in Vadodara, what its called RMOship, in different hospitals, different atmosphere, with different people & I feel blessed that this city has given me back more than what I deserve, It taught me that if you are ready to work hard & sincerely, Medical feild here is ready to accept you and nourish you, all seniors are supportive and great people, knowledge & healthy discussions are always around you if you look for it, you will get best of health wealth respect everything here in Vadodara.

I want to clarify few basics today what I have understood and learnt being here, being Doctor doesnt always mean being consultant or what society looks at you like or what social media & movies show about it. Its not easy job at all.

There are basically 4 types of doctors

1) Consultant (specialist & superspecialist) who run the main show, in opd n ipd form, managing all sorts of patients from simple cases to most complicated cases.

2) General practitioner or family physician running smaller clinics/set up including Bams Bhms Mbbs and all sorts of doctors who are pillars in India, because they manage quiet a lot of things at their ends which otherwise would not have been possible in hospitals looking at quality & quantity of Indian health care services, I have huge regards for them, few people you will meet amongst them would be doing really great job for their patients, who treat and guide them properly.

3) Doctors who come in between these two categories, called RMO or MO or Residents or Assistant doctors, let me tell you, its very important part of our system, communication is based on these people, in management of patients, as well as in internal hospital matters and with relatives of patients too,
& to become a good assistant means
(specially for BAMS & BHMS doctors)

*your communication should be bang on with patient consultant and your staff, for which your basic knowledge about diseases and patient management is very crucial, without which you will always fumble.

*you should assist your consultant or consultants in diagnosis, treatment and overall management of the patient from start to end.

*you should look after documentation as per need of your organisation because your consultant may not get that time and your staff may not be that capable, file work may be boring but its important and you should know all laws about it and carry out smart work related to files.

*& lastly comes extra skills if you can develop & do independent procedures for your personal & financial growth it would be great thing, ICU duties are something whole together different thing than other jobs in Medical work & it can be explored as much as you can.

4) Doctors who are not part of direct clinical practices, but are engaged in other related & important work, such as management & insurance work, thats all together different field and has great scopes if one can do that efficiently, not only here but has various scopes out of country also, specially for Bhms Ba Doctors, who want to explore new opportunities in foreign countries.
